Tell me about your Blog?
The Social Media Guide http://thesocialmediaguide.com.au/ focuses on helping people connect through the use of social media. It provides very clear and simple instructions on common problems we all face when it comes to using social media.
I have found when trying to search for a solution on using, setting up or integrating something, often you will have to go to numerous sources and try to piece bits of the puzzle together. Often the information is vague and sometimes overwhelming.
The Social Media Guide aims to bridge that gap and provide solutions to help you the first time.
What was your first blog?
This is my first blog.
What is the biggest tip you would give to a newbie blogger?
Know who your target market is and ensure the content you provide can answer the questions they seek.
What do advertisers do that you wish they wouldn’t?
Trick users.
What do bloggers do that you wish they wouldn’t?
Waffle on and on.
Where do you see growth in the blogging field?
I think the next evolutionary step is real-time video where users can stream live video from their mobile phones to blogs. This technology exists now, but before you know it, it will be mainstream.
What new ideas are advertisers coming up with to take advantage of new trends?
Advertisers are adding their content to widgets enabling them to be widely distributed across social networks and virally shared.
What do you do to improve the world?
Try to give more than I take.
What do you do that is green?
I run a lot.
What is one thing about you that not many people know?
If money wasn’t an object I would travel the world with my family and run in every big city’s marathon.

Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner by Dean Karnazes
What is on your iPhone?
Too many paid apps to count, plus a heap of social media apps including my favourite: Tweetie.
For music currently I’ve got a heap of chillout, trance and electronic and I’m proud to say all the Coldplay albums!
For videos I currently have a heap of Diggnation podcasts as well as 24 video tutorials on Camtasia Studio 6.
